What is IGSTC
Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC) established by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and the Ministry of Education and Research, Germany (BMBF) to foster innovation through Indo-German R&D networking including industrial research partnership.
2+2 mode of partnership
IGSTC intends to catalyse innovation centric R&D projects by synergising the strength of research/academic institution and public/private industry from India and Germany. This Call for Proposal is aimed at supporting joint R&D projects of industrial relevance by means of “2+2 mode of partnership” i.e. involvement of atleast one research/academic institute and one public/private industry from both the countries.
Basic Philosophy

Project should be proposed jointly by both Indian and German teams. Each project will be coordinated by two Principal Investigators (PIs), one from each country.

Project proposal is expected to produce insight and exploitable research results leading to new technologies, products and /or services.

Who can apply?
Applicants from research organisations, state and non-state
institutions of higher education, universities,
non-university research institutions, and
public or private companies having R&D bases
are eligible to submit applications.
How to apply
Project proposal as per the Application Form along with annexures, to be submitted
latest by 31 October 2011 to IGSTC secretariat
in India by email with a copy to IB-BMBF, Germany.
